Inclusive community garden in the grounds of Frankston RSL, on Frankston City Council's community garden register. Not owned by any one person or company - the garden is for the community and anyone can get involved. Encourages inclusion, diversity and social participation, and is actively seeking volunteers.

Langwarrin

Community garden directly behind Langwarrin Community Centre. Offers raised garden beds, pergola seating, garden shed space and a family-friendly area. Both plotholder and social memberships available.

Blairgowrie

Volunteer-run communal garden established in 2018 on two converted council tennis courts. No private plots — all produce is shared among members, and a dedicated Food for Charity program grows food exclusively for local food relief. Membership $20 per family per year.

Crib Point

Community garden behind Crib Point Community House at 7 Park Road, active since 2006. Communal model (no private plots), organic, inclusive of all ages, cultures and abilities.

Carrum Downs

Volunteer-run community farm in Carrum Downs built around Connect, Learn and Grow — sustainable food growing, environmental education and an inclusive sense of belonging across all ages.

Mornington

Volunteer-run community garden at Pine Reserve, Mitchell Street, Mornington, established in spring 2000 on a former croquet club. Individual, family and group memberships, with raised wheelchair-accessible beds, three propagation igloos, an outdoor kitchen with cob oven, orchard, vineyard, berry house, composting and worm farm, edible sensory garden and a frog pond. Runs regular workshops, working bees, a monthly food swap and an annual Open Day. Funds itself through the food swap, workshops and the sale of produce, seedlings and seeds. Group visits welcome by appointment.

Mount Martha

Community garden in the Cottage behind Mount Martha House (466 Esplanade). Open 24/7 with no membership fees — a shared communal space practising organic and permaculture principles, welcoming all ages and abilities.

Frankston North

Community garden at 14 Stringybark Crescent, Frankston North, behind the Pines Men's Shed. Cultivates extra produce to distribute to community members in need; welcoming to all ages.

Rosebud

Established community garden in Rosebud meeting the last Saturday of every month for communal working bees, shared lunch and gardening workshops. New members welcome.

Seaford

Community-driven food forest in Seaford growing fruit and vegetables for all to share, learn and connect around.

Cape Schanck

Native and indigenous plant nursery at Barragunda Estate led by Sam Humphreys. Specialises in ecological restoration plants propagated from wild seeds and cuttings — hardy, resilient stock for long-term survival. Also leads landscaping at Barragunda Dining and restores the Peninsula's lost coastal banksia grasslands.

Cape Schanck

Organically grown seasonal vegetable seedlings and potted herbs raised at Barragunda — lettuce, mizuna, sorrel, rocket, basil, parsley, thyme and more. Sold through The Barragunda Collective online store with Friday pickup at Cape Schanck.
